About Me

I am a board-certified plastic surgeon who has practiced plastic surgery since 1988. Born in Canada, I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Manitoba, and graduated from medical school at McGill University in 1981. My surgical internship took place at the Montreal General Hospital and my general surgery and plastic surgery training was undertaken at Stanford University.

After graduation, I completed my Royal College exams and then worked at the Palo Alto Veterans Administration Hospital, where I was Chief of Plastic Surgery and Chief of the PeriOrbital Eye Clinic-one of the designated centers for Operation Desert Storm. I became particularly interested in breast reconstruction, as well as eyelid surgery. In 1994, I joined Kaiser Permanente San Jose and worked here for three years and then set up a private practice closer to home in Palo Alto. I have worked in my private practice these past 15 years at Stanford Hospital, Sequoia Hospital and El Camino Hospital.

I have a particular interest in eyelid surgery, breast surgery, cosmetic surgery, hand surgery and skin cancer reconstruction. I am an adjunct clinical assistant professor of surgery at Stanford Hospital and Stanford University. I am very excited to be back at Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center!
