About Me
I was raised in Illinois after my parents immigrated from Taiwan. My father, who was an OB/GYN physician, always encouraged me to go into medicine. To the contrary, I chose to get my bachelor’s degree in electrical and biomedical engineering at the University of Illinois. I then realized that working with people, rather than circuits, was much better suited for me. I have always enjoyed working with my hands which drew me to a surgical specialty. After another 10 years of medical school and training, it turns out my father was right after all.
I specialize in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, working with the surgical and medical treatment of disorders of the head and neck, ear, nose, and throat. I am also fellowship trained in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, sub-specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck.
I joined Kaiser Santa Rosa in 2002, then transferred to Kaiser Oakland and Richmond Medical Centers in 2006, and have found it to be a wonderful place to work and to receive medical care. I am proud to be a member of such an outstanding medical group that is dedicated to excellence in healthcare.
