About Me

I am a Southern California native who grew up training in classical ballet. As I advanced in my education, I drew many parallels between ballet and surgery, both requiring strenuous training, constant adjustment of technique, and the drive to achieve excellent form. With these values engrained in me early on, I was naturally drawn to the field of plastic surgery.

After spending a short time on the east coast at the Johns Hopkins University for my undergraduate studies, I promptly returned to Southern California for my medical education and residency training at the University of California, Irvine. During my training I was fortunate to have exposure to a very balanced curriculum with a wide range of reconstructive procedures as well as access to top aesthetic surgery practices in Orange County. After residency graduation, I spent an additional year at the University of California San Francisco pursuing a microsurgery fellowship. During my time in the Bay Area, I refined my passion for comprehensive breast cancer care and reconstruction.

I am happy to call the Bay Area my new home as I join Kaiser Permanente. I strive to be a physician who can provide excellent results for my patients afflicted by trauma, cancer, or other circumstances. My goal is to work with you to choose the best option that fulfills your needs whether it is to mimic normal anatomy, withstand radiation, or simply allow you to move towards a better quality of life.
