Job Title

Facial Plastic Surgeon

About Me

Welcome! I joined the Walnut Creek Department of Head & Neck Surgery in 2019. While I practice all aspects of Head & Neck Surgery, my focus is on Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. My goal is to work with my patients in a compassionate environment providing comprehensive and evidence-based care.

My specific interests include treating vascular anomalies of the head and neck, facial nerve paralysis, reconstructing skin cancer defects, and helping patients with nasal obstruction improve their ability to breathe through functional septorhinoplasty. I am most passionate about facial reconstruction but also perform cosmetic procedures such as cosmetic rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty. I also have an interest in caring for patients with cleft lip and palate.

I have actively participated in and supported a surgical outreach trip in Peru with the FACES foundation. The work done with FACES remains one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and I intend to continue to incorporate this type of outreach into my practice.

I grew up in Portland, OR where my two sisters, parents and adorable niece and nephew still reside. I attended Scripps College in Claremont, CA where I studied psychology. Deciding to pursue a career in medicine I moved to Boston, MA to complete my post-baccalaureate studies.

In search of less frigid winters I moved to Washington, DC. In DC I worked as a research assistant in the Department of Neuropsychology at Children’s National Medical Center. Here I was part of a team researching concussion care and recovery. Regrettably, leaving my incredible team in DC I headed home to Portland, OR for nine years. I completed my medical school and residency training at Oregon Health & Science University. At OHSU I had the opportunity to train with some of the finest surgeons and people Head & Neck Surgery has to offer.

After completing my Head and Neck Surgery training in Oregon I ventured back to the East Coast, this time to New York City. In Manhattan I completed an extra year of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training. In what will hopefully be my final cross-country move, I have settled here in Walnut Creek with my two dogs. I’m happy to be here and look forward to working with you!
