About Me

I am a recent East Coast transplant to the Bay Area after receiving all my training on the East Coast. The farthest west I ventured growing up was Illinois for my undergraduate studies at University of Chicago. However, after meeting my husband in medical school at Georgetown, who went to Berkeley and who is a die-hard Cal fan, I knew that we would return to the Bay Area eventually. After living in Manhattan for residency at Cornell/Columbia University Hospitals, and in Philadelphia for microvascular fellowship at University of Pennsylvania, we have finally settled back in the East Bay.

I thoroughly enjoy working within Kaiser with The Permanente Medical Group because of the collegial environment and its emphasis on compassionate and complete care of the whole patient. Being a plastic surgeon, my surgical purview is diverse both in patient population and in the areas of the body that I can treat. The plastic surgeon is involved in the multidisciplinary care of many patients of different ages, for varying problems which can include but are not limited to breast pediatric cleft lips/palates to adult breast cancer reconstruction or reconstruction after traumatic events such as motor vehicle accidents. I love being able to assess each patient’s problems and specifically tailor their reconstruction/surgery to their unique individual needs.

“My surgical interests include, but are not limited to:

• General reconstructive surgery
• Microsurgery
• Gender-affirming/Transgender surgery

My husband and I love to be outdoors, and, on the weekends, we are always taking our two little girls hiking, camping, or skiing. We also love to travel and are always on the lookout for recommendations for family/kid-friendly places!
