Ideal for linear scars up to 2″ in length such as from breast augmentation, liposuction, biopsy, laparoscopic procedures. (3 strips per box)
Silicone strips and sheets are ideal for all types of incisions and widespread scars resulting from surgery, burns, trauma, or second intention healing.
- Durable, washable, and reusable
- Full 1 mm silicone thickness
- May be cut to fit scar length or cut for use on multiple scars
How to Use:
Silicone sheets may be used when the wound is healed. Topical Silicone has been shown to be effective in preventing, flattening and softening raised scars. It is used in combination with massage.
- Cut the sheeting to allow a ¼” margin around the edges of the incision
- Apply with tape or hold in place with clothing 23 hours a day for about 12 weeks or until scar is flat and soft. Evidence suggests that application for up to one year may be beneficial.
- Remove to bathe. Wash the silicone with glycerin soap and allow to towel-dry while bathing. Reapply.
- You may reuse the same piece of silicone until it is no longer tacky or loses flexibility.
